This is a shout out to all of those bloggers, you know who you are, that tirelessly experiment and create amazing new dishes to try – and then share them for free with beautiful images to boot! I especially love those who come up with the tastiest healthy treats for me to eat after working out. Keep it simple and you get an extra gold star!
I save most recipes on Pinterest now… but let me explain how I roll. With Pinterest, I don’t just pin items everyone else finds that look yummy. I actually find my own links, and scrutinize them for ingredients I would normally purchase or plan to purchase. What’s the point of a wish-list of beautiful food I’ll never eat?!
When I do save a recipe, I try to always include the ingredients in the description. This way, at a glance I can see what it calls for and what I have on hand. When meal planning, this makes life soooo much easier. Plus, if the link ever goes dead, I probably can figure out how to make the recipe based on what’s in it 🙂
btw… you can pin any photo/recipe from my blog – just hover over the images and click the link!
This week I tried out a new after-workout snack: No Bake Peanut Butter Balls! They are filled with oats, almonds, flaxseed, chia seeds, cocoa, honey, peanut buttery goodness.
I’ll be honest, I’ve been lazy. I’m a “photographer” but I’ve fallen in love with the ease of my iPod Touch’s camera when cooking in the kitchen. No worries about food splatter or mess, though it isn’t as beautiful as my 5DM2. And yes, the lighting in my kitchen and dining room makes me want to buy a new house with big, beautiful, bright windows next time.
The dry ingredients.
The wet ingredients.
The mixture begins!
Stir, stir, ah heck… I’m just going to use my washed-clean hands.
Roll them into balls. Pop them into the fridge and voila… snack-time!
Equipment used: iPod Touch 5G
