The easiest chicken fajitas I’ve ever made and a messy Miles.

For dinner tonight I made the easiest chicken fajitas I’ve ever made. Chris loved them, Miles played with them, and we decided they might be an awesome addition to our annual Christmas party menu.

The original recipe can be found here. I used chipotle chili powder instead of regular, because that’s what I had on hand. I also added red and purple peppers from Pop Pop’s garden to give it some color. One pan = easy cleanup.

After dinner…

This week I’ve decided to try T25 by Shaun T. along with Chris. Cheer him on! It’s a shorter workout than the Insanity program we attempted a few times over the past year. It kind of reminds me of a dance workout, a HITT workout, and strength building all in one. It’s definitely different, and I’m glad they have a low impact version to follow while I sort through my tendinitis issues.

With Miles running around, we just don’t have the time to wrap our heads around 45+ minute workouts and being so exhausted we can’t take good care of him.

Don’t mind the water on his pants, that was left over spillage from dinner.

My workouts were lifting in the mornings for about a 1/2 hour anyway, so this fit right into my time slot. I’m also afraid to go to the gym at 5am in the dark because it scares me. This is the perfect way to get a workout in, add more in the afternoon at the gym if I want to, and feel good – and stress free – each day. I thought I might workout after work every day, but I realized after two days that 5am is going to have to be my bestest friend!

I’m stoked, um, does anyone even say that anymore? I recently purchased a new lens which I believe will be another new bestie. I already love her very very much, the 24-70 f/2.8. I sold my 24 f/1.4, because I found it to be less than useful for what I shoot every day, to get this baby.

Time for a bath!

Here are a few chips I made while the oven was still hot from dinner. Don’t they look yummy?

And a few test shots to see how I might want to use my new gear, which of course will be awesome for child portraits, family portraits, and newborn portraits. It’s like my 70-200 in a smaller package. Oh, where have you been all my life? And why did it take me soooo very long to try you out?

Okay, off to get ready for tomorrow!
